Summmmmer and end of 2nd year!

Hello all!
So I've finished my 2nd year and celebrated with going to the Annecy animation festival! It was so gorgeous there and it's inspired me further for whatever my 3rd year may bring.

Since returning from Annecy I got to see the film I worked on this year (The Shipping Forecast) and the other graduate films screened at the BFI in London. Shortly after, I returned home for a few weeks and got to visit Halle in Germany to see relatives there where I met a wonderful dog named Coco.

I'm back in Bournemouth again and getting some practice in of different programs in preperation for 3rd year. I'm working on my graduate pitch too which I'm hoping to develop further before pitch week at the end of September! I have my computer and scanner now so it's going to be a lot easier to test things out. Here are some bits from lately:

Something for whilst work is underway

University is in full swing just now as I'm in my last term of my second year, so whilst I'm working towards my deadline I thought it might be interesting to share the stop motion animation I completed at KUAD. It's based on the 'Yōkai' designs that revolved around the idea of a tea fairy or tea thief:

The music is by the lovely duo, Lullatone! (I'm a bit of a big fan, find them here, be sure to check out the song names).

Watercolour practice mainly

Lately I've been busting out the watercolours again:

In the last of my drawing classes here we were given the task of drawing ourselves pulling expression and then characterizing it, this one is the result I'm happiest with:

Colour Script Practice

In my visualization class we're currently practicing colour scripts after we've been studying the use of lighting and colour in films, so this is one of mine so far~
